How to Install a Roller Blind?

Roller blinds are among the most frequently used products today due to their versatility and practicality. This model, which moves up and down to block sunlight and obscure the view, is widely preferred in many areas such as homes, offices, and hotels.

Roller blinds can sometimes be removed for washing, cleaning, or repositioning. If you have a pre-installed roller blind with a mechanism, you can remove it by applying light pressure to pull it down and separating it from the brackets. When re-installing, simply place it back in the same position and secure it properly. In addition, if you have purchased a roller blind for your home and want to install it yourself, there are some details you need to pay attention to. This will allow you to complete the process quite easily. Roller blinds, which are now widely available in hardware stores, can be easily installed by you. We have answered the question of how to install a roller blind step by step for you.

  • Make sure you measure the window accurately to ensure the roller blind is the right size.
  • Before installing the roller blind, make sure that the cornice and fittings are complete. If you are installing the roller blind on a cornice, it is recommended that you insert plastic fittings equal to the length of the roller blind.
  • The roller blind should be centred on the window.
  • Then, insert the fittings into the cornice.
  • Next, the roller blind screw should be attached to the centre of the cornice to secure the blind. The most important detail to pay attention to at this point is to place it exactly in the centre.

Ceiling and Wall Installation

Roller blinds can be mounted on the ceiling and walls as well as on the cornice. The following points should be considered for this:

  • Order your curtain by taking the exact measurements of the ceiling and window.
  • Align the curtain in the centre and adjust your measurements.
  • After measuring the window and curtain, drill holes in the ceiling using a drill.
  • Secure the dowels to the holes using metal clips.
  • Hang the curtain carefully.

At this point, it is recommended to hang the curtain slightly away from the window to prevent it from hitting the glass. Wall mounting is done in the same way. Wall mounting will help you achieve a more aesthetic appearance.
