How to Clean Pleated Curtains?

In addition to being very easy to use, pleated curtains are also very easy to clean, contrary to popular belief. With the exception of blackout curtains, all curtains can be washed in a bucket filled with water and mild detergent. To wash the curtains, you will need to remove them from their mechanism. This is a very easy process. When not washed, dust can be easily removed with a damp cloth or sponge. The fact that pleated curtains are stain-resistant and so easy to clean is a huge advantage for buyers.

Pleated Curtain Cleaning Steps

When installing pleated curtains, you will notice that they are not only easy to install, but also very easy to remove and reinstall. In the screw system, remove the clips, and in the adhesive system, remove the spring-loaded cord from the aluminium profile to detach the curtain from the window and prepare it for washing.

  1. Remove the curtain from the window as described above.
  2. Fill a bucket with lukewarm water and add a mild detergent or cleaning agent.
  3. Completely close the curtain and place it in the bucket of water, then wait for about 10 minutes.

As you can see, cleaning is very easy. When you want to clean them during the day, you can gently wipe them with a damp cloth or sponge while they are closed or open to remove dust. It is recommended to keep pleated curtains closed when not in use or when you are not at home to keep them clean and prolong their life.

Important Notes on Cleaning Pleated Curtains
