With their ergonomic designs that make them easy to use, pleated curtains offer many unique features, such as texture, a stylish appearance, naturalness, light control and privacy. In addition to these differences, another factor that influences user preference is installation. In order for these curtains, which give you freedom in your life, to fulfil their functions, they must be easy to install and assemble, in addition to their other features.
There are two different methods for installing pleated curtains: screwing and gluing.
When purchasing screw-mounted pleated blinds, you will need a 2.5 mm drill bit for drilling the aluminium plates. You must install the clips and screws provided with the pleated blinds onto the drilled aluminium plates. The clips are installed on all four corners of the aluminium plate, and the blind is then attached.
The clips attached to the top of the curtain must be passed through the clips mounted on the aluminium plate. Here, you must first pass the top part through, as the cord is adjusted from below. You will need someone to help you at this stage. After passing the top part of the curtain through, pull the cords hanging down to ensure they are taut. At this stage, while one person holds the top part of the curtain, another person should move to the bottom part of the curtain.
At this stage, the length of the cords should be adjusted. After the cord is adjusted so that it is taut and passes through the clip, the excess length is cut off. The clip where the cord is located is passed through the clip mounted on the bottom plate. The same process is applied to the clip on the other lower corner. After opening and closing the curtain to check the tension of the cord, the installation is complete.
In adhesive pleated curtain models, the parts are glued to glass and aluminium pieces. These parts are glued with 3M tape, which is a long-lasting tape. To extend the life of the 3M tape, the surface to be glued should be wiped with the cloths provided with the curtain. After wiping the profiles to be glued with the cloth, the open part of the pieces is glued to the top. The same process is applied to the bottom. The piece to be glued to the bottom is glued so that the gap is facing downwards.
When installing the curtain, make sure it is held flat; otherwise, opening and closing the curtain will be difficult. The strings on the top of the curtain are threaded through the top profile. After this step, the strings should be tightened. At this stage, someone should hold the curtain because the strings on the bottom must be adjusted using the rod-like apparatus included with the curtain. The strings hanging down from both ends of this device are tied. The excess parts of the strings should be cut after the string tension is adjusted. The strings should be tightened and attached to the teeth at the bottom ends. Finally, after checking the curtain, the installation is complete, and the curtain is ready for use.
